As you may recall, last year this date -- the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks -- fell on a Sunday. Providentially, the Mass readings that day dealt with the theme of forgiveness--an eternal message of truth that is just as relevant a year later (and every day hereafter).
